one-to-onecoaching

Beyond language training, one-to-one coaching grounded in professional coaching methods, to lastingly transform your presence and impact in English.

who is itfor?

For executives and managers whose English is operational, but whose communication does not yet fully reflect their level of responsibility.

  • You know exactly what you want to say, but in English your message loses its edge.
  • With a client, a captain or an English-speaking executive, you let others lead the conversation.
  • A disagreement, bad news, a negotiation: as soon as things get tense, you search for your words.
  • Your international counterparts find you too blunt, or not clear enough, and misunderstandings set in.
  • Your role has grown faster than your English: you now represent your company internationally.
  • An interview, a presentation or a negotiation is coming up, and you want to rise to the occasion.

readingbetween the lines

In the United States, people expect a message to be explicit and direct. In France, part of the meaning lies in what is implied, in context and in the relationship. Anthropologist Edward T. Hall described these as low-context and high-context cultures: a gap behind many misunderstandings in meetings, on site or in negotiations.

Having grown up between both cultures, I help you decode these differences and adjust how you say things, so your message is received the way you mean it.

    The Strategic Voice

Targeted coaching to approach a key moment with confidence: an interview, a negotiation, a strategic presentation.

  • 8 to 12 weeks

    The Clear English Voice

In-depth coaching for executives and managers whose English is operational, but whose communication does not yet fully reflect their level of responsibility and professional impact.

from inner voiceto professional presence

Because learning a language is not always enough to dare to speak it. Training provides the keys; coaching helps you integrate them, move past what holds you back and find your own way of expressing yourself.

My approach combines linguistic rigour, an understanding of intercultural codes, and tools drawn from sophrology and brief therapy.

This is where competence becomes confidence, and language truly becomes a voice.

myfoundations

My coaching approach draws on complementary training: sophrology and brief therapy, to work on confidence and presence; authentic listening; and communication and emotional intelligence, through continuing education with Wharton (University of Pennsylvania), the University of London, UC Irvine and UC Davis.

“With Helene, I never felt I had to become someone else.”
